The Edge Competition Team
THE EDGE 2015/2016 competition dance team competed in 4 Regional competitions last season. The entire team competed at Celebration, Nexstar and Rainbow dance competitions with the addition of Showstoppers a fourth competition for only the soloists. THE EDGE is made up of dancers from Director Tamara Culhane’s 2 studios, Studio 3, in Fairbury, NE and Crete’s Dance Co. in Crete, NE. THE EDGE choreographers are Tamara Culhane, Tayler Culhane & Sara Pohlmann.
THE EDGE brought home many trophies, special awards, cash awards, 2- ADCC Studio Excellence awards, 2 Dancer of The Year titles and 2 runner ups. .
8 & under:Candyman, a jazz routine received a gold, platinum and double platinum awards and two 2nd place overall high score awards and a judge’s choice award.
Fireball, a pom routine received a best costume award, a gold and two platinum awards, 3rd overall high score and 10th overall high score awards.
Run, a pom routine received a gold and two platinum awards, 4th overall high score award
At The Hop, a tap routine received a special judges award, a gold and two platinum awards and 1st and 3rd overall high score awards
Juniors 9-12 years: Eight, a pom routine received two platinum and a high gold award, a judges choice award, 2nd & 3rd overall high score awards, and a special invite to attend the World Dance Championship in NYC
Tea Party, a jazz routine received two high gold and one platinum award, 5th high score overall award
Birthday, a jazz routine received a high gold and two platinum awards, NYC All Star Award, a special judges award, 3rd and 10th overall high score awards and a choreography award
Diamonds, a jazz routine received a gold, platinum and double platinum awards, three 1st overall high score awards, special NYC invite, a regional champion award and a performance award
Teens 13-14 years:Life, a tap routine received a gold, high gold and a platinum award, a special judges award, 4th and 7th overall high score awards
Magic, a character routine received high gold, platinum and double platinum awards, two 3rd overall high score awards and best costume award
Bionic, a jazz routine received two high gold awards, and one platinum award, 2nd overall high score award
Get On The Floor, a pom routine received a high gold and two platinum awards, 2nd overall high score award and special invite to attend the World Dance Championship in NYC
Seniors 15 & Up:Whatcha Gonna Do, a pom routine received 2 Platinum awards and a double platinum award, 2nd & 3rd overall high score awards, Showstopper award
Freaks, a tap routine received a high gold, platinum and double Platinum awards and 1st & 3rd overall high score awards and a judges choice award
Bamboo, a jazz routine received a high gold and two platinum awards, 3rd place overall high point score
Solos: Lindsey Turner performed two solos; Earned It, a lyrical routine and Hands To Myself, a jazz routine. Awards she received from all 4 competition are: high gold, platinum, and four double platinum awards, 2nd overall high score elite solo and Miss Nexstar, Celebration Dance/Dancer of the Year, 1st place overall high scoring solo and Dancer of the Year at Rainbow Dance, NYC All Star award
Kassie Kent performed two solos; I’m Legit , a hip hop solo and Spell On You, a jazz solo.Awards she received from all 3 competitions are: 3 platinum awards, and two double platinum awards, 3rd place overall high score award
Regan Kolbo received a gold, a high gold and two platinum awards for her pointe routine, Mad World.
Helen Walenta received a high gold and two platinum awards and 5th overall high score at Nexstar for her Lyrical solo, Here.
Lexy Bodfield received two gold, one high gold and a platinum award, Dancer of the Year runner up at Rainbow Dance for her tap routine, A Little Party.
Brianna Weers received three platinum awards and a double platinum award, 6th overall high score at Nexstar and runner up for Teen Dancer of the Year at Rainbow Dance for her clogging routine, Crave.
Carly Rains received two high gold and two platinum awards, 4th overall high score at Celebration, NYC All Star award at Rainbow Dance for her jazz routine, I Like That.
Meghan Brandt received a high gold and 3 platinum awards, 2nd overall high score award, Power Pack invite and Best Costume all at Nexstar for her jazz routine, Work, Work.
Natalie Tietjen received a gold and platinum award. At Nexstar she received 1st overall high score, Performance award, Regional Champion and a special invite to attend the World Championship in NYC for her clogging solo, Soul Sister.

About Our Team
Crete’s Dance Company’s competition team THE EDGE was established in 1997. CDC is always auditioning new members for its award-winning competitive team. CDC offers a strict training program for all of its competition team members which includes classes in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and character. All of the staff at CDC work together to make sure each dancer is receiving a well-rounded dance education and is on the fast track to excelling more and more each year.
THE EDGE team is comprised of dancers from all 3 studios owned by EDGE Director Tamara Culhane. Our team is truly a family. By being part of this winning team, your dancer builds confidence and makes memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
